Trackmatic uses IoT SIM connectivity built for nationwide coverage. Very remote areas with no mobile network coverage at all can affect real-time updates, the same as any connected device.

Most owners fit the first tracker in well under half an hour. It gets quicker with each additional vehicle.
No — it is designed to be fitted without one. If you would rather have it done professionally, most workshops or auto-electricians can fit it in a short visit.

The NZ$199.00 per tracker is a refundable deposit held against the hardware — it is not the purchase price of the tracker. It's separate from, and in addition to, the monthly subscription.

Each tracker includes its own data connectivity (IoT SIM) and a power connection from the vehicle — no Wi-Fi or phone pairing required.
The tracker keeps reporting its last known location and status. Ignition-off periods show clearly so you can tell a parked vehicle from one in use.
The tracker can be removed and refitted to a replacement vehicle, or returned — contact us and we'll talk you through the options and your deposit.
